This course is for individuals who:

When you join the training course you will complete an intensive 5 week training programme covering computer theory and practical skills and this will help you on your way to becoming an IT expert user and increase your confidence in IT. After this you will receive on the job training either within a training area at the ITeC or with an employer. This will enable you to collect evidence from your workplace for your NVQ portfolio and will prove you are capable of doing the job. |

In addition to the NVQ you will also work towards Key Skills at the appropriate level. These are skills that are essential in any career path. On all courses you will follow a nationally recognised training and development path which is set by the National Training Organisation for your Apprenticeship framework. Once you have completed your NVQ L2 IT Practitioner you will have the opportunity to progress on to the Advanced Apprenticeship where you will work toward your NVQ L3 - IT Professional and a technical certificate. This is currently the BTeC National Award for IT Practitioners -ICT Support. |
